To ensure strong control environment through effectiveness & efficiency of operations as well as reliability of financials and compliance with policies, procedures, processes and regulations.

Job Description

Responsibilities:


Strategic/Financial


¨      Develop a strong internal control framework and ensure implementation of FABL’s internal control manual and SOP.


¨      Design a control risk dashboard for reporting purposes.


¨      Develop and implement appropriate operating procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance (global policies and local laws).


¨      Actively participate in the development of Internal Control policies ensuring that they are relevant to FABL operating environment.


¨      Setting up procedures/policies for monitoring usage of company assets.


¨      Ensure bank-wide standardization of operational processes for efficient delivery of customer services.


¨      Drive control processes to prevent, identify and mitigate breaches of policies and procedures.



¨      Prepare department budgets and monitor compliance to budget.


Customer


¨      Participate in periodic meetings of EXCO, Disciplinary committee, etc


Operations


¨      Implement and maintain a record of all management policies and procedures for the purpose of monitoring compliance.


¨      Conduct risk assessment of departments/functional areas in accordance with timelines and identify reportable issues.


¨      Facilitate receipt, review and regularization of internal audit reports from Audit.


¨      Review the responses to internal and external audit management letter queries to ensure that recommendations are implemented; follow-up on audit action plan to ensure that all action items are resolved before the next annual audit.


¨      Identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement.


¨      Identify areas of financial and administrative strengths and weaknesses and develop best practices.


¨      Conduct annual review of FABL’s SOPs.


¨      Implement strategy to meet strong control environment.


¨      Provide management with periodic reports on compliance with standards of excellence.


¨      Prepare periodic management reports detailing performance of department

¨      Supervise activities of department members and provide coaching, mentoring and training as appropriate.


¨      Monitor/manage performance of subordinates against pre-assigned goals and conduct performance appraisals as required.
