Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and report Suspicious Transactions
2. Policy and product reviews
3. Ensure corrective action plan and remediation for bank examinations & audits (internal & external)
4. Review & approval of high risk customers and businesses
5. Ensure compliance with helpdesk management and advisory
6. Conduct compliance review of branches and departments
7. Ensure compliance to Corporate governance and code of ethics principles
8. Liaison & responding to enquiries/investigations from regulators
9. Rendition of statutory reports and returns
10. Compliance monitoring to guard against regulatory breaches and non-compliance issues
11. Ensuring adequate KYC and due diligence is carried out on all accounts, financial institutions / correspondent bank enhanced due diligence enquiries
12. Research on emerging events/trends in compliance; and the creation & promotion of awareness to all staff via training materials, newsletters, sensitization memos etc.
13. Periodic management information system reports on the bank’s level of compliance.
14. Perform other duties as assigned
