Job Summary
The Aiding Disadvantaged and Traumatized Women and Girls (ADWANGA) is a national non- governmental organization established in 2005. Our focus is to enhance women and girls' empowerment and well-being through diverse interventions, envisions a future where women and girls actively participate in governance and decisions making.
The Institute is looking for a Program Manager to coordinate program activities, and endure communication between ADWANGA, partner organisations, and stakeholders involved with the institution. She will support the Executive Director in fundraising, developing and implementing programs on the thematic area of ADWANGA.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Planning and Execution:


  • Develop and implement detailed program plans, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with relevant personnel, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Monitor and evaluate program progress against objectives, ensuring timely and quality delivery of outcomes.


2. Grant Proposal Development:


  • Research and write compelling grant proposals to secure funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.

  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and guidelines in all grant submissions.


3. Reporting and Documentation:


  • Lead the development of annual work plans and prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

  • Document program activities, lessons learned, and best practices for knowledge-sharing and improvement.


4. Workshops and Events Management:


  • Plan, organize, and facilitate program-related workshops, training sessions, and advocacy events, ensuring high participant engagement and effective outcomes.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of events and workshops, providing actionable feedback for future improvements


5. Advocacy and Research:


  • Conduct research on emerging trends and advocacy opportunities related to women’s and children’s rights.

  • Represent the organization at relevant conferences, meetings, and events to build partnerships and promote its mission.


6. Monitoring and Policy Support:


  • Contribute to the monitoring and documentation of women’s and children’s rights abuses by state and non-state actors.

  • Work closely with the Executive Director and consultants to develop and refine grant- making strategies, priorities, and guidelines.


7. Stakeholder Coordination:


  • Coordinate information-sharing efforts among stakeholders and beneficiaries, ensuring the dissemination of guidelines and tools.

  • Generate timely and relevant reports to inform program decision-making.


8. Organizational Growth:


  • Explore and pursue new opportunities for the organization, including partnerships, funding sources, and innovative projects.

  • Support the Executive Director in implementing and monitoring programs addressing sexual and gender-based violence, social protection, and advocacy initiatives.


9. General Management Duties:


  • Oversee day-to-day program operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
