About the Role
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in shaping our company’s financial success. From managing accounts to ensuring tax compliance, you will contribute significantly to our operations and decision-making processes.

Objectives of this role
- To provide financial and accounting support to in-country management and group
- To ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax and other regulations
- To maintain internal controls
Responsibilities
- Prepare and report monthly and quarterly management accounts for group and management
- Support auditors for external audits
- Payments and petty cash management, and bank reconciliations
- Statutory accounting for Liberian entities
- Support for group finance function
- Tax filing and compliance
- Ensure internal controls and policies are complied with
- Support third-party payroll and other service providers
- Other financial and accounting matters
Required skills and qualifications
- Professional experience in accounting
- Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information
- Desire to continue professional growth through training
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, business accounting, or finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license/ Chartered Accountant license or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience in audit accounting
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Familiarity with standard industry accounting software and ability to learn and adapt to new accounting platforms (inc Xero and SAP)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
