MISSION/CORE PURPOSE


To drive Visibility, Availability and Accessibility and Acquisition within a specified location. 


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


Key Performance Areas:


Work along -side Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) Supervisors to supervise & coordinate the activities of Direct Sales Distributor, Ambassadors & Data Clerk within the assigned territory.


è Achieve distribution and coverage targets within assigned location.


è  Achieve Sim Cards/device/Mobile/ Event Activations target within assigned location


è  Achieve New Connection target within assigned location


è  Develop alternative channels in the location: Hotels, Restaurants & Entertainment Canters (HORECA), Phone Shops, Fast-Moving Consumable Goods (FMCG) Channels


è Achieve products and brand visibility target within assigned location


è Embark on trade education (promotions, new products, price changes, etc) 


è  Build quality relationship with trade through constant trade visit (Lonestar Area Champion (LAC), sub-distributors, Retailers, etc.)


è Embark on regular DSD/Ambassador accompaniment & score Availability, Visibility, Accessibility Movement (AVAM) and price compliance templates


è  Prepare and submit weekly report on sales performance, price compliance, market intelligence/competitor activities, Coverage gap analysis


è  Ensure Policies, Processes Procedures (PPP) are strictly adhered to


Supervisory/Managerial/ Leadership Complexity


è Encourage feedback from subscribers, agents etc within assigned location and provide solutions or escalate and ensure resolution


è Always ensure strict adherence to the standard operating procedures of direct sales and distribution


è  It is very important for the person in this role to have a fair understanding of the objectives and nature of the operations in the various technical and commercial functions to be able to effectively provide reliable operational advice and guidance 


Creativities (Improvement/ Innovation inherent):


è Proactively propose business solutions for the resolution of potential operational risk


è Propose ways and means to improve customer satisfaction and increase net promoter score


è Be innovative with regards to the implementation of policies, processes & procedures


è Make suggestions to enhance and define the processes for further improvement of services


è Suggest on areas for continuous improvement of all our operations  


Independent thought and Judgment:


è Use of independent thought and judgement in strict alignment with standard operating procedures


è Independent thought and judgement are based on experience


è Changes in processes with regards to the implementation of the standard operating procedures


è Use of best practices to ensure compliance to CBL Regulations and MTN standard operating procedures 


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE


Educations:


è Minimum of 3 years of territory degree in Sales and Marketing from a reputable institution or equivalent


è Relevant Certificates/accreditation/membership with professional bodies, is an added advantage.


Experience:


è Minimum of three (3) years working experience with proven track record as a Sales/distribution officer in a business environment


è Minimum three (3) years demonstrated experience in creating proactive strategies
