The Resident Corporate Medical Doctor will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to employees, their dependents and others working in and living in and around the companies. This role will emphasize preventive care, emergency response, health education, and wellness initiatives tailored to the unique individualized needs of each client.
The Cavalla Rubber Corporation (CRC), which is involved with the production Rubber; and operating in Maryland County – Liberia, requires the professional services of the following:
Corporate Medical Doctor Responsibilities:
Ø Medical Care:
- Provide medical consultations, diagnosis, and treatment for occupational and non-occupational health issues.
- Conduct routine health check-ups and screenings for the workforce.
- Manage minor injuries and illnesses on-site, ensuring effective and timely treatment.
Ø Health and Wellness Programs:
- Develop and implement health education programs addressing occupational hazards, nutrition, hygiene, and wellness.
- Promote health awareness and disease prevention strategies among employees and their dependents, and others.
Ø Emergency Response:
- Lead the first aid and emergency response efforts for workplace incidents.
- Develop and manage emergency response plans and protocols, including coordinating with local medical facilities when necessary.
Ø Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate medical records and reports for all consultations, treatments, and incidents.
- Prepare _monthly/quarterly/annual_ health reports for management outlining trends, health challenges, and recommendations.
Ø Collaboration:
- Work closely with human resources, safety officers, and management to address health-related issues and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with local health authorities and medical partners to enhance employee health services.
Ø Training:
- Provide training for supervisors and employees on health and safety practices, first aid basics, and handling medical emergencies.
Ø Research and Development:
- Stay updated on industry health standards and best practices, particularly in agricultural healthcare.
- Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes for agricultural workers.
Corporate Medical Doctor Qualification:
· Medical Doctor’s Degree in Medicine from a well-Recognized Institution
- Valid medical license to practice in Liberia - validated by the Liberia Medical and Dental Council (LMDC)
- Additional medical certificates or degrees are added advantage.
- Pass the National State Board Examination as a MD.
- Current State Board licensure as a registered nurse required.
- Current State Board licensure as a registered nurse required.
*Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing physician, preferably in occupational health, primary care, or emergency medicine.
- Experience working in remote or rural settings is highly valued
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.
- Basic computer skills.
- Professional, friendly attitude.
- Experience in home health care.
- Experience in emergency room or intensive care
- Willingness & ability to work during late or early hours.
- Must be able to multi-task
