Sappimah Cassava Refining Company (SCRC) is a community-based agriculture social enterprise that focuses on empowering small holders’ cassava farmers, and expanding the value chain of cassava farming by refining and processing cassava into more valuable products such as garri, starch, baking flour, pasta, etc. Our flagship product, Premium Gari, has established a strong presence in the market for its quality and consistency. We are now introducing an innovative product, Coco Gari— Fuel your day with Coco Gari, a delicious blend of golden gari, hearty oats, smooth ghee butter, coconut flakes, powdered milk, and just the right touch of sugar. Whether as a quick snack or a satisfying meal, it's perfect anytime, anywhere.
To spearhead this expansion and strengthen our brand presence, we seek an experienced and visionary Sales and Marketing Manager.
2. Objective of the Role
To lead and execute the company's sales and marketing strategy with a primary focus on the successful launch, market penetration, and revenue growth of Coco Gari, while sustaining and expanding the market share of Premium Gari. The Manager will be responsible for increasing brand awareness, building strategic partnerships, and driving measurable sales growth
3. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
· Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for Coco Gari, including branding, pricing, distribution, and promotional campaigns.
· Update and execute the sales and marketing strategy for existing products, particularly Premium Gari.
· Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and threats.
· Design short-term and long-term sales targets and monitor performance metrics.
Sales Management
· Build, train, and lead a high-performing sales team across key territories.
· Develop and manage sales pipelines, client databases, and lead generation systems.
· Identify and build relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and institutional buyers.
· Negotiate contracts and manage key accounts to maximize profitability.
Marketing & Brand Development
· Create and implement marketing campaigns across traditional and digital platforms.
· Oversee the development of packaging, advertising, and promotional materials.
· Organize and participate in food fairs, exhibitions, product sampling, and promotional events.
· Develop and manage content for online platforms, including website and e-commerce channels.
Product Launch (Coco Gari)
· Design and execute the product launch roadmap for Coco Gari.
· Monitor and evaluate customer feedback and market reception.
· Build key partnerships with influencers, nutritionists, and health-focused communities.
Reporting & Analytics
· Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management.
· Analyze sales trends and campaign ROI.
· Monitor KPIs and adapt strategies as necessary.
4. Qualifications and Experience
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
· MBA or professional marketing certification is an added advantage.
· Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and marketing within the FMCG or food processing industry.
· Proven success in launching new food or beverage products.
· Experience in managing distributors and retail sales channels.

· Successful launch of Coco Gari within 2 months.
· 10–20% market penetration for Coco Gari within the first year.

· Engagement metrics from digital and offline campaigns.
7. Contract Duration and Compensation
· This is a permanent role with a probationary period of 3 months.
