Wright Contractors Services is a leading provider of manpower services, known for its commitment to quality, safety, and innovation. As we expand our operations, we are seeking two experienced Health and Safety Officers to join our team on a contract basis to support our growing portfolio of contracts

Role Overview:

As a Health and Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all work environments comply with health and safety regulations and best practices. You will work closely with Managers on Site, contractors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.


• Ensure compliance with local and national health and safety regulations.


• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.


• Deliver training sessions and toolbox talks to site contractors and / or personnel.


• Investigate incidents and accidents (if any), and prepare detailed reports.


• Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, and incidents.


• Liaise with other regulatory bodies and ensure all documentation is up to date.

 Requirements:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential).


• First Aid Certificate.


• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Cement Manufacturing sector.


• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.


• Valid Identification Card (National ID, Driver’s License, Passport) and willingness to work with minimum or no supervision.

 

Desirable:

• Membership of a professional body.


• Experience working with subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams.


• First Aid certification.
